The Download EP is the debut self-recorded EP by Innerpartysystem, first released on January 6, 2007 as "The Takeover". A later version was released on July 1, 2007 through the Stolen Transmission label under "Innerpartysystem"[2]. The final EP contains six tracks, most of which were made by Patrick Nissley alone, the tracks include earlier versions of "Don't Stop" and "Heart of Fire" both of which are found on the band's debut self-titled album Innerpartysystem.

Versions

The EP was first released shortly before the band changed their name from "The Takeover" and contained four tracks. The EP remained the same after the band changed their name to "Innerpartysystem", except with a name change to the EP's details, this version can still be found on the US iTunes Store. After the band was signed, a final version was released which contains new album art and two new tracks, "Lovers Dancing (Remix)" and "Don't Stop" as well as a mastered version of "Night is Alive"[3]. The EP was only released in the United States.
